41 by peers on list of NFL's top 100 players

On Wednesday, it was revealed Stafford ranked as the 41st best player in the NFL Gerald McCoy Black Jersey as voted by his peers, finishing nine spots ahead of Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning.

"It's definitely a nice honor, but I'm just happy to be on this list," Stafford said in an interview that aired on the NFL Network. "Obviously I struggled to stay on the field my first two years. I was able to put together one good season last year, and hopefully looking for more to come. I'm just happy the guys in this league thought I was playing well enough to put me on this list."

Last season, Stafford became just the fourth quarterback in NFL history to throw for 5,000 yards, and the seventh to toss 40 or more touchdowns, but those numbers http://www.officialbuccaneersfootball.com/Black+Gerald+Mccoy+Jersey have been viewed by some with skepticism.

The No. 41 slot is the highest Stafford has ranked on a top 100 list this offseason. Football analytics website Pro Football Focus listed Stafford at No. 81, behind six other quarterbacks, while CBSSports' Pete Prisco ranked him significantly higher, putting him at 50, but just the ninthbest quarterback heading into the 2012 season.

Stafford understands that his statistics stand out, but there's only one area he wants to rack up bigger numbers.

"I think you gain respect in this league, not by putting up big stats, but by winning ball games. We were able to get to the playoffs last year and hopefully take that next step and win a couple games this year."

While he admits he wasn't losing sleep over his ranking on the players' list, Stafford said he and his teammates can't help but be curious about how they're viewed by their Gerald McCoy Jersey Ebay peers.

The Lions had two players on this list Nike Gerald McCoy Jersey last season Ndamukong Suh was 51st and wide receiver Calvin Johnson finished 27th. After a disappointing sophomore season, it seems likely Suh will be left off the 2012 rankings, but Johnson could, and should, crack the top 10.

"If anyone has him as not the top (receiver), they're crazy," Stafford said.

Asked who he viewed as the top quarterback in the league, Stafford gave props to his division rival.

"I'm a big Aaron Rodgers fan," Stafford said. "I think he's a great player. He's got a ton of weapons, he spreads the ball around, you can't really take one guy out of the game."
